"While Steinway still produces fine pianos, we believe the quality of the 60 to 110-year old instruments is almost impossible to match. There's no Steinway like an old Steinway."
- Irving Faust
"Preserving little more than the original piano cases and cast iron plates, we use the finest materials and the most highly specialized techniques to create exquisite, rich sounding pianos that look and feel like new. These pianos are widely considered to be among the very best pianos available in the world today. With proper care, they should last a lifetime and keep increasing in value."
- Sara Faust
"At Faust Harrison Pianos we take a personal approach to our customers. We are committed to assuring that each piano we sell is the right instrument for each individual buyer. We know that these pianos, as well as being sound investments, will give lifetimes of pleasure to their owners."
- Michael Harrison
“Our highly trained staff is available to meet the diverse needs of our discriminating clientele and to provide a level of personal service that is without parallel.” - Marina Harrison

Welcome to Faust Harrison Pianos

We are America's largest independent retailer of fully rebuilt “vintage era” Steinway and Mason & Hamlin pianos, and a leading dealer in new Mason & Hamlin and Estonia pianos. We offer nearly 200 of the world’s finest instruments at three New York area showrooms.

You are invited to visit our newly expanded flagship showroom in Manhattan at 205 West 58th Street, or make an appointment to visit one of our private showrooms in Westchester County, 35 minutes north of New York City. You are also welcome to call to arrange a tour of our 11,000 square foot restoration facility in Dobbs Ferry, NY, where our highly prized five to nine-foot pianos, most of which were originally built between 1890 and 1940, are painstakingly and expertly restored to their original glory.

Faust Harrison Pianos is owned and operated by Sara and Irving Faust, and Marina and Michael Harrison. Sara Faust, a former concert pianist, has been buying, restoring and selling artist quality pianos since the early 1980’s. She also works closely with our expert team of technicians and rebuilders to establish and maintain the industMichael and Marina Harrisonry’s highest standards for piano rebuilding. Her husband, Irving Faust, a former research scientist, manages our factory, which restores over 150 pianos annually. Michael Harrison, an internationally acclaimed composer/pianist, is a key figure in the sale and purchase of Steinway and Mason & Hamlin pianos. He brings his expertise to selecting pianos for our international clientele. His wife, Marina Harrison, an art historian and lecturer specializing in the decorative arts, manages the Manhattan showroom and sets the highest standards for customer service and satisfaction.

We present this Internet web-site as a "virtual showroom" - a place to browse through our galleries of Steinway, Mason & Hamlin, and Estonia pianos. You will also find information about our extraordinary concert series where you can hear many of the same distinguished pianists that perform just one block away at Carnegie Hall. There is also information about piano care as well as links to related sites. Please make sure to sign our Guest Book if you would like us to contact you about any of our pianos or special events.

Faust Harrison Pianos buys and restores vintage era pianos and ships worldwide. To make an appointment to see and play any of our new and rebuilt artist quality pianos, call us at 800-723-1570 or 212-489-3600 or send us an email.
